			Livingston & Westerinch Karate Club Learn Traditional Shotokan Karate Livingston Karate Club has been in operation since the 1980's teaching traditional Shotokan Karate classes around West Lothian. In 2006 we formed Westerinch Karate Club expanding our classes into Bathgate and Boghall. Allowing all our students to train at either or both venues depending on their schedule that week. Due to work commitments and rising costs in March 2025 we took the decision to close the Livingston class at Craigswood Sports Centre allowing us to concentrate our efforts in Bathgate. Since our classes have continued to grow with improved student standards. We look forward to seeing this continue into the future. Safe Environment in Classes Our regular classes are open to adults and children from 9 years old. For younger children we have our Dragon Ninjas classes, these are suitable for 5 to 8 year olds, giving them a great introduction to karate. Our instructors and assistants have completed Child protection courses and undergone PVG checks with Disclosure Scotland and Volunteer Scotland. Family Friendly Organisation We are a family friendly organisation with many families participating in our classes together. This is also reflected in our pricing structure and membership with discounted rates for additonal family members. The club is run by Grahame Brown, 4th Dan and Zacharie Brown 2nd Dan. Instructors teach on a voluntary basis and the fees collected are used to cover hall expenses, equipment, club social events and courses with other instructors.
