Livingston Karate Club

Karate No Michi Scotland

Livingston Karate Club

Livingston Karate Club has been in operation since the 1980's
teaching traditional Shotokan Karate classes around West Lothian.
Our instructors have karate qualifications awarded by bonafidee
karate instructors.

We run classes in Craigswood Sports Centre in Livingston in
addition to Balbardie and Simpsons Primary Schools in Bathgate
They all cater for adults and children (from 5 years old).

The club is a family friendly organisation, which is reflected in
our pricing structure and membership. We have been registrered as a
local sports club with West Lothian Council for ten years.
As many of our members are children we hold current up to date registration
as a Youth Group (registration number 70) and are working on achieving
Club Accreditation by the council.
All adults have PVG checks made to ensure the safety of the junior members.

Since 2005 the club has been run by Grahame Brown, 3rd Dan with the
assistance of three additional instructors. Instructors teach on a voluntary basis
and the fees collected are used to cover hall expenses, insurance,
equipment, club social events and courses with professional trainers.

We are members of Karate-No-Michi Scotland.
