Livingston Karate Club

Learn Traditional Shotokan Karate

Livingston Karate Club has been in operation since the 1980's
teaching traditional Shotokan Karate classes around West Lothian.
Our instructors have karate qualifications awarded by bonafidee
karate instructors.

Classes in a Safe Environment

We have classes for adults and Children (from 8 years) at Craigswood Sports Centre in Livingston and Simpsons Primary School in Bathgate

For younger children we have our Little Ninjas class opench is suitable for 5 to 7 year olds, giving them a great introduction to karate.

As there are multiple instructors at our classes all students to develop at their own pace.

Family Friendly Organisation

We are a family friendly organisation, which is reflected in
our pricing structure and membership. We have been registrered as a
local sports club with West Lothian Council for ten years.
As many of our members are children we hold current up to date registration
as a Youth Group (registration number 70) and are working on achieving
Club Accreditation by the council.
All instructors and assistant instructors have undergone PVG checks to ensure the safety of the junior members.

Since 2005 the club has been run by Grahame Brown, 3rd Dan with the
assistance of three additional instructors. Instructors teach on a voluntary basis
and the fees collected are used to cover hall expenses, insurance,
equipment, club social events and courses with professional trainers.

We are members of Karate-No-Michi Scotland.
